According to the current output mode, charging piles are divided into AC charging piles (commonly known as "slow charging") and DC charging piles (commonly known as "fast charging").
AC charging pile: It controls the current during the charging process. After the output AC power is connected to the electric vehicle, it is converted into DC power through the OBC on the electric vehicle, thereby realizing the charging process of the power battery. The output power is 7kW, and the charging time is about 5-8 hours. It is suitable for places with long-term parking conditions such as homes and companies.

DC charging pile: It does not need to pass through OBC and can directly charge electric vehicles. According to the power size, there are integrated and split structures. The integrated structure is often equipped with 1-2 charging guns with a power of 60-180kW; the split structure is often equipped with 6-8 charging guns with a power of 360kW and 480kW. It is suitable for places with high requirements for charging efficiency such as shopping malls and highway service areas.
