Physical connection detection: When the charging gun is inserted into the vehicle charging port, the charging pile will perform a physical connection detection to ensure that the gun head is inserted in place, the charging cable is not damaged, and the grounding is good. If the detection fails, the charging pile will report an error. Communication handshake: The charging pile and the vehicle exchange information through CAN bus or PLC communication to confirm the vehicle requirements and charging pile capabilities, including battery voltage, maximum allowable current, charging mode, etc. If the protocol does not match, charging will fail. Pre-charging: The charging pile first outputs a low voltage to test the battery status, and then gradually increases the voltage to the battery requirement value after ensuring safety. Formal charging: After entering the formal charging, the charging process is divided into two stages: constant current and constant voltage. The constant current stage charges at the maximum allowable current, and the constant voltage stage maintains the battery voltage until it is fully charged.
